Thick Plate Analysis

Synopsis

Performs a numerical analysis of a rectangular plate using a Rayleigh-Ritz type method. General edge boundary conditions are allowed. Analyses are available for plate bending under a pressure load, buckling, and free-vibration. The solution uses a first-order shear deformable plate theory. This input format assumes that the plate is of sandwich construction (two facesheets seperated by a core material). In this analysis, the core is treated as an additional orthotropic material in which the core inplane properties contribute to the overall stiffness.
