Start >> Lamination Theory >> Thermal Expansion Coefficients
The calculator computes the effective laminate thermal expansion coefficients. Six coefficients are returned. The alpha terms give the thermal expansion strain at the laminate midplane. The gamma terms are the thermal curvature coefficients. Nonsymmetric laminates will curve due to a change in temperature.
Enter the layer material properties as a list {Ex, Ey, Gxy, nuxy}:
Enter the layer thermal expansion coefficients {alpha x, alpha y}
Enter a stacking sequence {theta1, theta2, ...}: Help on advanced stack entry
